Hristos Tsamouras – why I do GluX
Living with type 1 diabetes, I experience every day what GluXShop helps with: a reliable sensor, understandable support, real safety. My goal is to make that experience available to as many people as possible – with no compromises.
My road to GluX
When I received the diagnosis, I realised very quickly that a "box with a product in it" is not enough. In everyday life it also matters who stands behind it: is there a warranty, is the documentation understandable, do I get an answer when something does not work as it should. I tested dozens of sensors on myself, and I saw what a difference it makes when real expert backing is there to help.
That is where GluXShop came from: a place where the lowest price is not what comes first, but being able to use the sensor calmly, safely and with support. That is why we give an official Hungarian warranty, detailed Hungarian-language documentation and meaningful customer service – and that is why we speak honestly about the risks of cheap alternatives.

How we help – beyond the device
- An official Hungarian warranty: if something goes wrong you are not left alone; replacement or credit, transparently.
- Hungarian-language descriptions and guides: no need to dig through forums – we put everything in one place.
- Fast customer service: real, practical answers – from people who use the system themselves.
- Next-working-day delivery: from a Hungarian warehouse, predictably.
- Health fund reimbursement and in-store collection in Pest and Buda.
- GluX Kontroll: education and community for conscious use.
We regularly see cases where someone buys more cheaply, from an unknown source – with no warranty and no support. In the end they come to us for help. That is why we say it openly: for us value comes first.
Why we don't recommend the "cheaper, same thing" options
Aidex (Chinese-region) devices
- Region lock: typically works only in the Chinese region.
- Registration obstacles: a Chinese mobile number and a Hong Kong Play Store account are often needed.
- Warranty/support: typically none.
Linx Vista
A cheaper CGM, but not for people with diabetes or insulin resistance – it is mainly meant to support dieting. It has no official representation in Hungary; we cannot handle the warranty of Linx devices bought from another source.
“Standard” Linx ordered from outside the EU
- Expected VAT and customs duty on arrival.
- Longer, less predictable delivery.
- Occasional non-EU-region versions, with compatibility risks.
- No local documentation or support.
Support programme – for those in need
GluX is a community to me as well. If someone is in need, I do not want money to be the obstacle. That is why we created the Support Programme, where from a limited budget we provide sensors at a discount or free of charge from time to time.
How can you apply?
- Send a short introduction and your reasons through the contact form.
- If available, attach proof of your situation (for example a short description of your income or health circumstances).
- We reply, talk it through with you, and if the budget allows, we bring you into the programme.
I cannot promise everyone immediate help, but we read every application, and we try to help as many people as we can.
