A message from the founder

Hristos Tsamouras is my name; I am the founder of GluXShop and I live with type 1 diabetes. I use the Linx sensors day after day, and I have tried dozens of them on myself. I know exactly how much reliability and accuracy matter, and how much it matters to have someone to turn to when something does not work. That is why I created GluXShop: so that you receive not just a product, but safety, expertise and real help.

What do we give you alongside the product?

• An official Hungarian warranty in case of a malfunction or a sensor falling off – immediate replacement or credit.
• Hungarian-language customer service – fast answers, detailed guides, personalised support.

What happens at the cheaper places?

• They are often sold by foreign or occasional traders, with no official warranty.
• There is no Hungarian-language support; in case of a fault the buyer is often left alone.
• According to a lot of feedback, customers get blamed and no responsibility is taken.

We receive many complaints from people who first bought somewhere else more cheaply and eventually found the solution with us.

Chinese Aidex sensors – why they are not a good choice

Aidex-branded sensors are available online that may look similar to Linx at first glance, but because of their characteristics they are practically unusable in Hungary:

• They work only in the Chinese region.
• A Chinese mobile number is needed to use them.
• Downloading the app requires registering a Hong Kong Play Store account.
• They typically come with no warranty and no customer service.

A cheaper alternative: Linx Vista – but not for people with diabetes

There is a cheaper CGM as well, the Linx Vista, which can also be obtained from abroad. However, this product is not suitable for people with diabetes or insulin resistance; it is recommended only to support dieting. It has no official representation in Hungary; we are unable to handle the warranty of Linx devices bought from another source.

“Standard” Linx ordered from outside the EU

"Standard" Linx devices are also available from outside the EU, but before buying it is worth considering:

• Typically you have to pay VAT and customs duty on arrival.
• Delivery is often lengthy and can be uncertain.
• Sometimes non-European-region products arrive, with compatibility and support risks.
• There is no guarantee that it comes with a Hungarian-language description, or that Hungarian support is available.

With us you can buy with an official Hungarian warranty, from domestic stock, with Hungarian-language documentation and support.
