Modern glucose monitoring – there is nothing to fear

Choose comfort and safety instead of fear

"I definitely won't be able to handle this." "It's too complicated for me." "Applying it will hurt." "It will get in the way of my daily tasks."

When it comes to modern medical devices, many people become uncertain, especially older or less tech-friendly users. The caution is understandable, since a glucose monitor works with your blood, so it is natural to look into the subject thoroughly before deciding. We would like to help with our experience.

Do you really need to fear the needle

Let us face the most common fear: the tiny needle in the applicator. Many people instinctively shy away from needles, yet most users say the moment of application is barely felt, or not felt at all.

The process is a single quick movement, after which the sensor stays in place for up to 15 days and does its job. The needle that helps with application retracts immediately, and only a hair-thin, flexible filament remains under the skin. It is comfortable to wear, does not catch on clothing and is not disturbing during sleep.

The design goal was for application to be a short, insignificant event that takes the burden of several daily finger pricks off your shoulders.

Modern, yet not complicated

"I'm no good with gadgets, I'm bound to get something wrong." This is another common worry. The system was designed so that you cannot get it wrong; there are no hidden settings.

  1. Downloading the app: the app's interface is simple and logical. Note: the Linx app interface is in English, so you will see English menu items in the settings.
  2. Placing the sensor: a single firm movement; the applicator does the work.
  3. A short wait: the sensor stabilises in the interstitial fluid in about 1 hour, then works on its own for up to 15 days.

A common mistake is setting the normal range too narrow, so the app may alert you even at completely normal post-meal values. You can personalise this safety function on your phone in a few taps.

Can it get in the way of daily life

You may wonder whether it will fall off, catch on clothing, or be disturbing during sleep or sport. It is held firmly and stays put in the shower and while moving. The sensor is discreet and barely noticeable; according to user feedback it quickly becomes a natural part of everyday life.

A real story

An older musician customer of ours from Transylvania was wary of the device at first. He had severe diabetes and his fingertips were sensitive after years of pricking, yet he stayed uncertain. We helped in person with the application and the settings. A few days later he got back in touch: at night he received an alert at a dangerously low value, was able to eat in time, and felt that this small thing might even have saved his life.

What if you do get stuck

The system is simple to use, but a question can come up at any time. An intelligent help feature is available on our website that answers on the basis of the manufacturer's guides. If you need help in a more complex situation, our colleague also supports you by phone in Hungarian.

Is it worth listening to your fears

Uncertainty is natural with new technology. But it is worth asking: is it worth giving up a solution that can bring comfort, safety and freedom to everyday life because of that? Experience shows that the fears are mostly unfounded. Application is not painful, and use is simple and reliable. You can choose calm and control.

Have you overcome your doubts

If you decide on continuous, comfortable and discreet glucose monitoring, we are at your service. We will contact you, answer your questions, and show you in practice how the system works. Say goodbye to awkward, frequent finger pricking and choose a reliable, comfortable solution.
